We are so excited to set our table down Main Street in the quaint little coastal town of Harmony, CA. (Population 18)
A long-established fixture of California’s Central Coast, the town of Harmony has a rich supporting history. Founded in 1869 around a burgeoning local dairy industry, Harmony served as the home of the Harmony Valley Creamery Association and de facto capital of Central Coast dairy production for nearly half a century, while also serving as a picturesque pit-stop for the rich-and-famous on their way to visit William Randolph Hearst just up the road.
During the welcome reception, you will have time to explore this amazing and eclectic little town. Grab a glass of wine and check out Harmony Glass Works, Harmony Pottery Shop artisan galleries and the Harmony Chapel & Gardens.
We will then sit down and dine al fresco at our long communal table with a four course farm-to-table dinner prepared by Chef Clark Staub of Full of Life Foods paired with the beautiful coastal wines of Aequorea.
Main St. may only be one block long, but there’s a lot to take in!
Chef Clark Staub
Full of Life Foods
Clark Staub is a self-taught baker and chef and longtime local food advocate. Clark is the founder and architect of Full of Life Flatbread in the small Northern Santa Barbara town of Los Alamos. Full of Life Flatbread began business in 2003.
The concept of Full of Life Flatbread came to Clark while running his artisan bread bakery. Working for 4 years with a state of the art French bread oven, Clark began to experiment with wood-fired ovens and cooking which ultimately led to building his own 20-ton stone oven which serves as the main cooking source in his restaurant. Changing his menu weekly based on what is in season and peaking in flavor, Clark has developed a close-knit collection of world-class farmers, ranchers, fishermen and food artisans who help shape the food at Full of Life.
Known as one of the pioneers of Los Alamos, Full of Life Flatbread has been the inspiration and launching platform for the town’s burgeoning destination food scene and vibrant growth.
Aaron Jackson
Aequorea
A Central Coast native, Aaron Jackson began his winemaking career in the cellars and vineyards near his hometown of Cayucos, ultimately leading him to produce his first vintage of the flagship Petite Sirah in 2002.
Aaron has now forged two different brands that are driven by authenticity and a devotion to unearthing the potential of the vineyards that surround the place he calls home.
His eponymous brand Aaron focuses on Petite Sirah-centric wines grown in the limestone soils of Westside Paso Robles. From these sites he crafts powerful, age-worthy wines that reflect the rugged terrior of the steep hillsides where they are grown.
Aaron’s second label, Aequorea (Latin for “of the sea”), was born in 2012 as a study in extreme coastal winemaking. Working with vineyards along the cool stretch of coast between the Santa Lucia Mountains and the Pacific Ocean, Aaron focuses on aromatic whites and Pinot Noir that hail from some of the most coastal vineyards in all of California.
Production has grown from the first two barrels to 3,000 cases per year, but remains focused on producing wine that tell the stories of their terrior of the community he loves, giving homage to the hardworking hands that make them.Aaron has now forged two different brands that are driven by authenticity and a devotion to unearthing the potential of the vineyards that surround the place he calls home.
Town of Harmony
Population 18
A long-established fixture of California’s Central Coast, the town of Harmony has a rich supporting history. Founded in 1869 around a burgeoning local dairy industry, Harmony served as the home of the Harmony Valley Creamery Association and de facto capital of Central Coast dairy production for nearly half a century, while also serving as a picturesque pit-stop for the rich-and-famous on their way to visit William Randolph Hearst just up the road.
Following the ultimate closure of the creamery, Harmony’s population steadily waned as the community saw much of the state’s dairy production transition from the Central Coast to the Central Valley. While undergoing periods of relative dormancy. Today our 2.5-acre, one-block town ‘bustles’ once again.
Home to the Harmony Valley Creamery and its famous Scoop Truck, Harmony Glass Works and Harmony Pottery Shop artisan galleries and the Harmony Chapel & Gardens, Harmony has become a quirky and quaint must-stop destination for both local residents and tourists alike.
We encourage all our guests to assign a designated driver or (better yet) ride in style with your own hired vehicle for the evening.
We've partnered with Obsidian Luxury Services to offer a 10% discount on transportation to all guests for any of our Table & Vine dinners.
