CHEF WILL TORRES
Previously of Farmhouse Corner Market
Restaurateur and Executive Chef Will Torres brings over 20 years of acclaimed work in the restaurant industry. Inspired by time in the kitchen with his grandfather and mother as a child, Will worked in restaurants as a teenager and decided to attend Le Cordon Bleu in Pasadena. After graduation, he worked at Koi in Los Angeles and on his days off would volunteer for events with Spago, Patina, Playboy Mansion and Aubergine in New Port Beach. Before relocating to the Central Coast. He then met his wife and business partner, Kari Torres, and accepted a position at Justin Winery, where he lifted the culinary experience to a new level of excellence for
the next 13years.
People noticed. Will landed on the cover of Food & Wine Magazine, and was invited to cook at the James Beard House in New York. Wine Spectator named Justin Winery the
Best Winery Restaurant.
When he decided to strike out on his own, Will and Kari opened Farmhouse Corner Market in SLO in June, 2019. Along with their business partners, they created a space that inspired and excited the Central Coast. Visually, the Farmhouse space was playful, artistic, generous, joyous, and colorful. But it was Will’s menu that made people return again and again. He changed it every three months, and it always included as many locally-grown ingredients as he could get his hands on. People loved Farmhouse, and we loved that they loved it.
